NHS24 urges safety first this Bonfire Night

NHS 24 is reminding people to take care and understand how to treat minor burns ahead of this year’s Bonfire Night celebrations on 5th November. In line with advice from Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, NHS 24 advises that people attend an organised display but, if a party is being held at home it’s important that people know how to treat any injuries. Edinburgh Poppy Day is “biggest and best yet”

Thousands of people descended upon St Andrew Square yesterday to enjoy an afternoon of fun and entertainment at the fourth annual Edinburgh Poppy Day. Care Home steps up to get people on their feet

A new care home in Edinburgh has donated £200 to an exercise programme supporting vulnerable adults in the community at risk of having a fall. David Holbrook, customer relations manager at Lauder Lodge on Wakefield Avenue, presented Steady Steps, part of Edinburgh Leisure, with the donation as part of its commitment to keeping older people staying active in later life.
