The Scottish SPCA was alerted yesterday after a badger made himself at home in a house at Linlithgow’s Beecraigs Country Park. Doh! A dear – a female deer – none the worse for tram track trauma

The Scottish SPCA rescued a distressed deer from the side of Edinburgh’s tram tracks yesterday. Scottish SPCA Open Day’s a roaring success!

The Scottish SPCA celebrated their 10th annual Scottish Animal Week earlier this month (4-10 September) and ended the celebrations with a community open day at their centre in Edinburgh. Scotland’s animal welfare charity was overwhelmed by the support shown from local businesses, vendors and supporters who attended the event. Animal charities call for tougher jail sentences

The Scottish SPCA supports the maximum jail sentence for those convicted of cruelty and welfare offences under the Animal Health and Welfare (Scotland) Act 2006 to be increased, from 12 months, to five years. Scotland’s animal welfare charity will be joining Battersea and Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home at the Scottish Parliament today as the charities are joined by MSPs to call for tougher sentences for animal cruelty offences. Scottish SPCA announces free Will writing service in partnership with McClure Solicitors

The Scottish SPCA has announced a new partnership with McClure Solicitors in Edinburgh that will provide a free Will writing service to supporters of the charity. Scotland’s animal welfare charity has partnered with McClure who, in 2016, raised a total of £15 million for charities through donations, Gift Aid and legacies.
