The Scottish SPCA was alerted yesterday after a badger made himself at home in a house at Linlithgow’s Beecraigs Country Park. The Scottish SPCA rescued a distressed deer from the side of Edinburgh’s tram tracks yesterday. The Scottish SPCA supports the maximum jail sentence for those convicted of cruelty and welfare offences under the Animal Health and Welfare (Scotland) Act 2006 to be increased, from 12 months, to five years.
