John Lewis rises to the Poppyscotland Challenge

With knitting needles and crochet kits in hand, Partners and customers from John Lewis & Partners have been working tirelessly for almost half a year to take on the Poppy Challenge of producing 2,018 poppies to raise funds for and raise awareness of the work of leading Armed Forces charity Poppyscotland. Centenary Poppies begin journey across the country

Lady Haig’s Poppy Factory was alive with activity on Thursday as the near-five million poppies which are all made by hand by former Service personnel were loaded on to trucks to begin the journey to the four corners of the country ahead of the start of the 2018 Scottish Poppy Appeal. One of Scotland’s top cycling events, which raised almost £50,000 for Scotland’s leading Armed Forces charity in 2017, returns for a fifth year – and is even bigger and better. WWI CENTENARY – LIGHT UP RED FOR POPPYSCOTLAND AND SAY ‘THANK YOU’

Poppyscotland is looking to ‘Light Up Red’ the whole of Scotland this year in recognition of the First World War generation who served, sacrificed and changed our world forever. Cast of Bravo 22 joins forces with Poppyscotland

Sick and injured veterans from Bravo 22 Company, one of the most remarkable theatre groups at the Fringe, visited Lady Haig’s Poppy Factory in Warriston yesterday to highlight the work of Poppyscotland.
