The Winter fleet for Scotland’s trunk roads has been expanded to help make it more responsive to weather conditions. As well as more than two hundred traditional gritters located at 42 depots across the country, Transport Scotland has procured a new recovery vehicle which will help mitigate the impacts of flooding. Police are investigating following a serious sexual assault in Links Place in the early hours of Wednesday morning. The incident happened around 00.40am yesterday, when a 33-year-old woman was approached by an unknown man. Impressive results following two week crime blitz
Edinburgh Northern and Leith MSP went on patrol with North West area commander Chief Inspector Stevie Sutherland on Friday to see first-hand the efforts being made to tackle crime and antisocial behaviour in North Edinburgh through the Operation Myriad initiative. Fifty-three people were arrested during the crime crackdown, and both the police officer and the local politician thanked the local community for their support throughout the campaign.
