Peppa joins the Muirhouse Mini’s messy fun day

And everbody knows Peppa loves jumping in messy puddles of paint and dough!

As the kids piled in for their fun day at Muirhouse Millennium Community Centre yesterday, many of them wanted a photo of themselves with Peppa – yes, including Donna! (writes James McGinty).

With dough making part of the fun you can be sure mums have a heavy load in their wash today and the face painting would mean lots of baths too!

I apologise for the quality of some of the pictures, but we have had many difficulties after our faithful camera went to the scrapyard in the sky many months ago. Still, the main thing is that he kids had a brilliant day and a healthy feeding thanks to John and Peter in the kitchen!

MMC-1

Edinburgh College Events Management students are planning, organising and staging a community fun day at Muirhouse Millennium Community Centre on Saturday 2 May.

Activities confirmed include bouncy castle, face painting, a treasure hunt, arts and carfs, raffle, cake and candy, photo booth, barbecue and carnival games!

Granton Campus student Jessica Beattie said: “We want to hold a Community Fun Day for people of all ages – we feel that by doing so we will manage to raise more money for the centre and it will be a chance to really bring the community together to celebrate in a fun, exciting way!”

All profits raised on the day will be donated to Muirhouse Millennium Centre, so go along – support the students, support your local community centre and have loads of fun too!

All eyes on the skies ahead of weekend events

DNC FUN DAYOrganisers of this weekend’s Fun Days and Galas will be keeping an anxious eye on the weather forecast. Drylaw Neighbourhood Centre’s Fun Day takes place tomorrow and West Pilton and Muirhouse Gala is on Sunday.

Fingers crossed – it might just be okay!

Tomorrow’s forecast: A chilly start then a mainly dry day with sunny spells. Cloud will bubble up in the afternoon with isolated showers developing across Lothian and Borders.

And Sunday? A chilly start but dry with sunny spells.
