We’ve seen an increase in bicycles being used on pavements and being ridden in an erratic or unsafe manner. Please remember:
- Wear appropriate kit
- Be aware of your surroundings
- Follow the rules of the road
- Ride at a safe speed
- Stay focused
- Respect pedestrians
they won’t listen Yesterday I went out of the front door and nearly got run over by a man on a bicycle going extremely fast.He was cycling down a hill with no interest about safety The road was empty!! Its not the first time either.
I have seen people nearly being knocked over In summer I don’t go on the promenade( Portobello) as it is too dangerous Children ,dogs x cyclists Some groups of cyclists go in groups on 4-5 on a promenade full of people,cafes,dogs x children There will be a very nasty happening one day . Its totally iunfair as people walking have no safe place to walk .A person has to be on the watch all of the time in case of cyclists ,A ramble down the road is not enjoyable any more!!
