Scotland welcomes first baby of 2020

Scotland’s first baby of the new decade was born at the Royal Infirmary just after midnight on New Year’s Day.

Born at 00:03,and weighing in at a healthy 8lbs 5oz, the baby boy is a first child for Port Seton’s Emma Allan and Cameron Cunningham.

Proud new mum Emma said: “He was due 10 days ago, so this isn’t what we expected – he must have wanted to be the first baby of the decade!”
