Bright Lights at Fort Kinnaird

A group of Edinburgh and Lothian residents were congratulated by Lord Provost Frank Ross, Fort Kinnaird centre director Liam Smith and Recruitment and Skills Centre Business Development Manager John Gibson, after completing a five-week training course to help build a career in retail.

Bright Lights Starting Out in Retail is a free programme funded by Fort Kinnaird owners, British Land, aimed to provide unemployed people in and around Edinburgh with valuable skills needed to secure jobs in retail.

The programme is designed and delivered in partnership with the Recruitment and Skills Centre (RSC). All students who complete the course are awarded an SCQF Level 4 in Customer service, recognised by employers across the industry.

Liam Smith, centre director, is pictured with Lord Provost Frank Ross, alongside Fort Kinnaird’s recent Bright Lights graduates L-R Ronin Bisset, Jai Fitzpatrick, Andrew Mangan, Asia Sohail, Lewis Hennessy, Susan McFarlane, Steven Dodds, Margarita Michulkye, Stephen Glass and David Nicks.
