Stockbridge: the land of Milk and Honey

New business venture announced for Raeburn Place

Raeburn Place Foundation (RPF) is pleased to announce that Milk & Honey, a trading arm of Sweet by Scotts Limited, will establish an upmarket gelateria in its new development at Raeburn Place, Stockbridge.

David Newlands, Chairman of the Raeburn Place Foundation, said: “We are happy to be offering a small independent business a home in our new development, allowing them to expand and reach a new market.

“It has always been our intention to secure a mix of national and more niche, local businesses, focusing on those we believe will attract increased footfall to the area. Milk & Honey definitely fit that bill and we are glad to have them on board.”

Milk & Honey, who currently run a gourmet sandwich and deli business in Queen Street, will operate an upmarket gelateria, chocolatier, patisserie and delicatessen from unit 9 at Raeburn Place.

Speaking for Milk & Honey, Sofia Scott, Director, said:  “We are excited by the prospect of opening our new venture in Raeburn Pace.

“Our aim is to deliver a sophisticated gelateria experience in a contemporary setting, where we will offer a range of specialist items sourced from local suppliers, providing them with a showcase in Stockbridge.”

In redeveloping the famous sports ground at Raeburn Place, where the first rugby international was held, RPF will create first-class sports and recreational facilities that are fit for the 21st century and open and accessible to all.

Construction to redevelop the sports ground at Raeburn Place is currently underway, beginning the work of transforming the ground into a hub for sport and recreation that is financially sustainable, impactful and open and accessible to all.

Hand-over of the completed retail units to the tenants, including Milk & Honey, is anticipated in mid-October this year.
