Meet Shetland author Ann Cleeves @North Edinburgh Arts Thursday 28 February 11.30am Together with the Edinburgh International Book Festival, North Edinburgh Arts is delighted to present a special event featuring Shetland author Ann Cleeves in conversation with Eleanor Thom. Ann Cleeves is the award-winning writer behind Shetland and the Vera Stanhope novels, both now major TV series, as well as a passionate believer in libraries and an open, honest speaker. She chats with novelist Eleanor Thom, writer-in-residence for Citizen – a new creative programme exploring what defines our communities and our city today, led by the Edinburgh International Book Festival, North Edinburgh Arts and other partners around the city. Join them for a discussion about Wild Fire, Ann Cleeves’ eighth and final Shetland novel, find out about the life and inspirations of a writer, what makes a community like Shetland the perfect setting for her grizzly tales, and ask your own questions too. Ann will be available to sign copies of her books afterwards.
