Fort Kinnaird launches 12 days of Christmas Kindness

Edinburgh residents are in for a treat as Fort Kinnaird is set to host a series of festive feel-good events for shoppers over twelve days in the run up to Christmas.

Kicking off on Monday 10th December, the centre will be unveiling a roaming Christmas tree that will give people the chance to win a range of gifts, from hot chocolate vouchers to cinema tickets and free lunches.

Throughout the rest of the 12-day period, visitors to Fort Kinnaird can expect a whole host of seasonal games and random surprises, from a festive take on ‘hook a duck’ and Christmas bagpipers, to an elf squad brought in to carry shopping bags to the car or even pay for lunch.

Liam Smith, centre director at Fort Kinnaird, said: “Christmas is about spreading goodwill and also being thankful for the people around us. Our 12 days of kindness is the perfect way for us to say thank you to our shoppers and bring the festive cheer as they buy gifts for their loved ones.

“We can’t wait to see the look on our shoppers’ faces when our team surprise them, and we’re sure it will help to bring an extra special atmosphere to the centre over the festive period.”

Fort Kinnaird is open until 10pm on weekdays throughout December, and 8pm on Saturday and Sunday at selected stores.
