Are you interested in campaigning the for the Living Wage in Scotland? Come along to our event in Edinburgh on the 6th of September!
Coordinated by the Poverty Alliance, The Scottish Living Wage Campaign is a coalition of organisations and faith groups campaigning for a living wage for every worker in Scotland.
We want to support individuals and communities to campaign for the expansion of the Living Wage, which is currently £8.75 per hour (as of November 2017). It is one of the most important tools we have in order to solve poverty in Scotland.
On the 6th of September, from 10am-12pm we will be hosting the event 10 Years of the Scottish Living Wage Campaign. This event will aim to look at the progress made over the last ten years as well as the challenges that lie ahead and we hope that attendees will be able to feed into discussions to steer the future of the campaign.
There will be World-Cafe style table discussions about a range of topics, related to the Living Wage, including:
- Key low paid sectors
- The gender pay gap
- Conditions at work
- Young people and low pay
Come along to this event if you are part of an organisation or group interested in campaigning for the Living Wage and want to help shape the future of the campaign. We will be holding a similar event aimed at individuals and activists in Dundee later in the month.
