Award-winning Artisan to begin new residential project in Canonmills

Artisan, awarded Scottish Property Company of the Year, but known locally for their recent award-winning New Waverly development, have instructed local contractor Hart to begin the construction of a new residential development at Warriston Road in Canonmills, Edinburgh later this month.

Canonmills Gardens will see the creation of a mix of one, two, three and four bedroom apartments, penthouses and colony-inspired properties within landscaped grounds.  Architects, Shephard Robson, have carefully embraced the local setting when considering the design and orientation of the buildings as well as the external landscaping of the development, which will transform the former B&Q warehouse site. The first apartments will be released over the course of the next few months and completion is scheduled for Autumn 2020.

With its enclosed communal landscaped gardens, this development enjoys a tranquil setting on the Water of Leith yet is just a stone’s throw from bustling neighborhoods of Canonmills, Stockbridge and Broughton Road and within easy walking distance of the city centre.  As such it is attracting a diverse mix of potential home buyers.  Savills and Gilson Gray have already received notes of interest from local residents and individuals from further afield.

Natalie Simpson of Savills said:  “Edinburgh has seen higher rates of growth in activity than any other city in the UK, and the interest we are receiving at this early stage is proving that Artisan have got this development and its location absolutely right:

“The beautifully designed Canonmills Gardens is meeting a latent demand for people who want to live and work in a city that has got so much to offer.”

Rob McGregor of Gilson Gray said:  “This is one of the most exciting developments I have had the pleasure of working on.

“Artisan have a clear idea of who will be buying, how their buyers would like to use the accommodation and the way they like to live their lives.  So the exceptional quality of the apartment’s interiors have been matched by idyllic outdoor spaces, and the wider development has been designed to integrate within neighboring enclaves.”

Interested parties can register early interest by telephoning joint selling agents Savills and Gilson Gray on 0800 073 0040 or visiting www.canonmills garden.com, where online “taster “brochures, plans and CGI videos are available to view.
