The Scottish Affairs Committee has written to Ross McEwan, CEO of RBS, following reports calling into question evidence he gave to the Committee last Wednesday on the closure of RBS branches in Scotland.
In the letter, Committee Chair Pete Wishart asks Mr McEwan (above) to explain claims that RBS continue to have targets to switch customers to online banking, contradicting evidence he gave to the Committee. A response is expected as a matter of urgency.
