Youth work service 6VT Edinburgh City Youth Café has been awarded a £15,000 grant from the Scottish Children’s Lottery.
The charity works with hundreds of young people from across the Edinburgh area to provide youth work opportunities, emotional and practical support, and an array of personal development opportunities for young people aged 13-21.
Dot Horne, Director of 6VT, said: “It is a tremendous boost to the organisation to have been so generously supported by the Scottish Children’s Lottery. This will assist our work to support young people who are facing a variety of life challenges and enable young people to connect with us to make a change. Thank you.”
The Scottish Children’s Lottery was launched in October 2016 to raise money for children in Scotland, with proceeds helping to improve the lives of children right across the country and make a real difference to those who need it most.
Kirsteen Campbell is trustee of Chance to Connect which operates as a society lottery under the Scottish Children’s Lottery.Chance to Connect supports projects working in the areas of community development and citizenship, giving young people across Scotland the chance to live in a safe, supportive and stimulating community.
