£1.2 million investment spearheads Timberbush Tours expansion plans

Timberbush Tours, one of the country’s leading coach tour operators and celebrating 20 Years touring in 2018, has signalled its ambitions for the forthcoming holiday season by investing £1.2million in nine new coaches, which brings the Timberbush fleet up to 23.

The fleet which will be used to ferry holiday makers and day trippers to destinations across the Scottish Highlands and Islands, the North of England from Edinburgh and Glasgow, as well as for private tours and corporate hires.

Timberbush has purchased a new 47-seater MAN Galileo coach from BASE Coach Sales, Leyland, Lancashire, with Mercedes making up the rest of the compliment – 3x 33-seater purchased from Mosley Distributors, Airdrie, and 2×19 seater and 3×16 seater coaches bought from Coach Traders from Whitburn West Lothian.

Steve Spalding, CEO of Timberbush Tours, said: “The new investment is significant for us, not least because these coaches are fitted out to our own specifications and reflect our commitment to continually re-fleet and replace our coaches with the most environmentally friendly and fuel-efficient vehicles available.

“Our entire coach fleet is less than three years old and this is our blueprint in an industry where a company’s ‘green’ credentials are a huge consideration for customers. This is something we take great pride in, having been accredited with the Green Business Tourism Scheme Gold Award and EcoStars 5 Star rating”.

Timberbush Tours operates a wide range of coach tours including 1, 2, 3 & 4-day tours and this year adding a 4-day York and Lake District tour to its schedule.
