National charity Heart Research UK has partnered with McClure Solicitors in Edinburgh to promote the importance of making a Will or updating an existing Will. Throughout May 2017 McClure Solicitors in Edinburgh will join forces with Heart Research UK to provide a special Will writing service, waiving their usual fee but providing the same Will service and advice – in return for a donation to Heart Research UK.
To take part in Heart Research UK’s Make a Will Month, all you need to do is contact McClure Solicitors, Edinburgh branch on 0800 852 1999 to arrange an appointment in May, quoting ‘HRUK’.
Instead of paying the solicitor you will be invited to make a donation of £90 per Will to Heart Research UK (or £150 for a pair of basic ‘mirror’ Wills). People taking part in the campaign will make a significant saving as you would expect to pay anything up to £250 for a simple Will and the charity has worked with the solicitor to reduce this fee.
Writing a Will is important as it puts you in control of your affairs, making sure that your plans can be actioned and your wishes respected. It can also save potential disputes among family members and removes any doubt about who you want to leave your estate to, avoiding any unnecessary legal complications for your loved ones.
