Tuesday 25 April 10am – 12 noon
North Edinburgh Arts
North Edinburgh Arts invites you to join us for the launch, on Tuesday 25th April, of the new project ‘Make Your Mark’, a community art project with Arcadeum that aims to document the community of Muirhouse in 2017 by encouraging creativity and connection.
‘Make Your Mark’ aims to create a collaborative art installation made up of ‘marks’, small handmade items made by different individuals in the community. Each ‘mark’ will represent it’s maker in a collection that will reflect and celebrate the diversity and creativity of modern Muirhouse.
Launching on Tuesday 25th April at 10am, and taking place every following Tuesday until 30th May, we will be running drop-in making sessions, 10am-12noon in North Edinburgh Arts.
These sessions will be a chance to drop in, have a chat and a cuppa and Make your Mark with other members of the community and local creatives. It will be a great space to make connections, share ideas and stories, and contribute to a group art piece. These ‘marks’ will be added to an installation in the Art Shop window week by week, so it will grow and change over time.
We look forward to seeing you at the launch, or at one of the making sessions following. Please spread the word about the project and bring people along – the more people involved, the bigger the installation will be!
