Newly elected MSP for Edinburgh Northern and Leith, Ben Macpherson, has been selected as one of the First Minister’s Parliamentary Liaison Officers (PLOs).
The role will see the local MSP work closely with the First Minister in developing positive relationships between the Scottish Government and Scottish Parliament, as well as assisting the First Minister with a range of other subjects.
Ben Macpherson said: “The job of a PLO comes with a considerable amount of responsibility. I am honoured and privileged to be appointed by the First Minster to this role. I am very keen to get started and help to make sure that there is a positive relationship between Government and Parliament.”
