Tread carefully in Muirhouse Avenue!

COME AND FILL A TYRE …

amphitheatre

The Centipede Project, in partnership with the City of Edinburgh Council, has been developing the fields along Muirhouse Avenue into a temporary play space for the past few months.

From 9th May, they will begin creating a mini Amphitheatre from recycled tyres packed with soil. The structure will be secured in place by professionals and the height kept to a safe 1.2m (approx).

Drop by the site any day between 16th – 20th May and fill a tyre. It’s a fun and easy way to be involved in a great community project.

They also have ten raised beds, situated on the same site, that they want to allocate to local individuals or groups. There will be ongoing support, tools available to use as well as the costs of seeds covered.

If you’re interested in taking on a raised bed, contact Jo at centipedeproject@outlook.com or call 0131 315 2151. Or pop along to the site between 16th-20th May and speak to Jo or Nat who will be there.
