Craigroyston urgently seeks piper and poet
Craigroyston Community High School are urgently looking for some help for a special lunch TOMORROW:
Community Access to Schools Development officer Fiona Henderson explained: “We have a Community Burns Lunch arranged for this Friday at the High School and we are urgently seeking someone who could pipe the haggis or maybe read some Burns Poetry.
“We had everything arranged for last Friday with piper and so on, but they cannot help us this week. Unfortunately there is no budget for paying the piper, but he/she is very welcome to join us for the lunch as a thank you.
“Anyone else who is interested is very welcome to come but we would like to know in advance. As we have no funding, there is charge – £5 for a 3 course lunch and £3.50 for kids. Please email to me directly if you would like to book a place and come for lunch.
“And please email me if you can help at all with piping or poetry readings – it will be a friendly and small group and everyone will be delighted with having a piper, regardless of experience and skills.”
