What does equality mean to you?

Voices of Edinburgh exhibition: Edinburgh’s Equality and Rights Network showcases real voices of the city

Edinburgh’s Equality and Rights’ Network (EaRN) has launched Voices of Edinbugh,  an exhibition designed to promote dialogue  about equality and rights issues in the city. The exhibition opened on Friday and will run until 2 July in Gallery 3 of Edinburgh Palette.

This showcase of photographs and podcasts features people from all around Edinburgh answering the question: What does equality mean to you?

“At its heart EaRN is about empowerment, and about enabling the right voices to be heard by the right people,” said Caroline Gibb, Development Worker for the project. “We believe a creative approach is vital, and came up with the idea of an exhibition. We were delighted at how many people got involved and are extremely proud that Voices of Edinburgh has become a reality and hope more people will start thinking and talking about equality.”

The exhibition runs from 17 June – 2 July, from 10am – 6pm every day. There is an interactive element too, as people are encouraged to use the selfie booth and upload their pictures to EaRN’s social media.
