Celebrities hunt antiques in Edinburgh

BBC hit antiques show Celebrity Antiques Road Trip is back on TV screens, featuring a fantastic line-up of famous faces from stage, screen, comedy, sport and the media.

On Tuesday 27th November at 7pm, The Communards’ Reverend Richard Coles joins up with last year’s Strictly Come Dancing winner, actor Joe McFadden to visit Edinburgh, West Linton, Motherwell and Glasgow, finishing with auction in Newcastle.

From The Communards to Holy Communion and a classic car, Rev Richard Coles is in the driving seat for this Trip. His Strictly co-pilot is glitter ball champion Joe McFadden, an actor who has played roles in Heartbeat, Cranford andCasualty.

Joining our celebrities on their romp across Scotland are antiques experts David Harper and Phil Serrell, who offer guidance on a budgie, a barrel of whisky and some very large plates.

Before an auction south of the border in Newcastle, Richard and David play football at one of Scotland’s most famous clubs while Joe and Phil end up going round in circles deep underground.

But, when both teams buy near identical antiques … it makes for a nail biting auction …
