The Prentice Centre in West Granton was the venue for the third in a series of money advice community events taking place across Edinburgh during Talk Money Week. Fourteen organisations were represented at yesterday’s event.
Michelle Lee, Advice Service Manager at Granton Information Centre (above), helped to organise the local event, which was sponsored by Muirhouse Housing Association.
Michelle said: “While we would have liked to have met more members of the public, the event gave us the opportunity to meet up with other service providers and discuss some of the current challenges faced by our clients. It was definitely a useful and informative session.”
One of the main discussion points, inevitably, was the imminent introduction of Universal Credit roll-out in Edinburgh from 28th November.
The final Talk Money session takes place at Westside Plaza Shopping Centre in Wester Hailes today. You can drop in any time from 11am – 2pm.
