The Scottish SPCA is hosting their first ever 5k challenge across the iconic Forth Road Bridge on Saturday 9 June.
Scotland’s animal welfare charity has limited spaces available for the family challenge that allows participants to walk, jog or run across the famous bridge.
Centre Manager Diane Aitchison from Edinburgh Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre said, “This is the first time we’ve ever organised an event on the Forth Road Bridge.
“Everyone can get involved and take in the fantastic views across the firth of Forth while raising vital funds for the animals in our care.
“Every participant will receive a goody bag and a Scottish SPCA t-shirt – not to mention bragging rights amongst their friends for helping save Scotland’s animals!”
Chief Executive Kirsteen Campbell said, “Events like these make a real difference to the Society. We receive no government or lottery funding and rely entirely on the generosity of the public to continue our life saving work.
“This event is perfect for runners of all levels! Whether you’re a pro, or looking for a nice gentle stroll on a Saturday morning, we’d love to hear from you!”
