Tell us what you want

The Forth and Inverleith Neighbourhood Partnerships are currently asking people how they prefer to get news and information regarding what’s going on in  their area.  Survey forms will soon appear in community centres, libraries etc., so if you see them, please fill one in and post it back, or leave it at your local library.  You can also complete the survey online here:

The NEN has been asked to work with the Neighbourhood Partnerships to help develop and improve channels of communication, so we will be looking to improve our web-site, Twitter and Facebook facilities, and, if a majority of people wish it, we will be aiming to re-introduce a local community newspaper.  The survey is crucial, therefore, to find out what you want.

  1. Hello

You’d think that Neighbourhood Partnership would look at working with groups that excel when it comes to social media. I mean TRIM for example today had over 10k hits on their Facebook page and over 5k on their website. On an average week they have approximately 22k hits to their Facebook and around 6k hits to their website.

The people behind TRIM social media mainly myself of course are passionate, we understand how to maximise social media and know how to interact with people.

We allow people to comment and post fairly as they see fit, we may not agree but it often sparks a debate.

There is a lot more to social media, blogging, tweeting and communication that just pumping out article after article in languages that residents do not understand or connect with.

Sadly I PERSONALLY do not think the current NEN are fit pr capable to deliver what North Edinburgh Need.

This is my personal opinion – Nothing to do with any role which I have in North Edinburgh
