We are SO sad to say that due to the appalling weather forecast for today, we’re having to relocate the morning service back into Wardie Church and cancel the afternoon Gala in the park. It’s the first time we’ve had to do this – which means we’ve had a lucky run – but unfortunately, it just doesn’t make sense to persevere with the winds and rain anticipated.
Having made the decision, we’ll be very cross if the wind and rain doesn’t materialise but we can only decide based on the forecast as it stands. We’re very sorry for the disappointment.
All is not lost though! Following Wardie’s church service, which takes place from 11 – 12noon accompanied by the Edinburgh Brass Band, Porto & Fi will be cooking up their gorgeous burgers in the Church garden (access either via Netherby Road or Primrose Bank Road). So please come along and grab a delicious bite for all the family. There will also be teas and coffees, baking, books and bric-a-brac in the church hall, all selling from 12 – 2pm today.
We had a really great crew lined up and we’d like to thank everyone for their willingness to get involved and for all the hard work you had already put in arranging your stalls and activities to make sure that with better luck, this would have been another fantastic community event. We do hope you’ll give it another go and join us for Gala 2026!
