This course is for community activists and others who wish to develop and practice their skills in facilitating deliberative (e.g. citizens’ assembly type) events – for example to support the development of local climate emergency response plans.
Deliberative processes engage and support diverse groups to work together to make considered decisions and take action on complex issues. Good facilitation enables groups to work cooperatively and effectively together and ensures the involvement of all participants in a meaningful way.
This 2-day, intensive, training course is organised by Scottish Communities Climate Action Network (SCCAN) in conjunction with involve (www.involve.org.uk) on the weekend of 1st and 2nd February 2020 in Edinburgh.
