Police are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic crash on Dalry Road yesterday.
The incident happened at around 5.40pm (Monday 13 January), near the junction with Murieston Crescent. A man was involved in a collision with a green coloured Ford Focus car while crossing the road.
The driver of the car stopped at the scene and has been assisting officers with their enquiries.
The 42 year-old male pedestrian suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene by the Scottish Ambulance Service before being taken to hospital as a precaution.
Officers are now asking anyone who saw the collision, and has not yet spoken to officers, to come forward to assist their enquiries.
Sergeant Jill Kirkpatrick from Edinburgh’s Road Policing Unit said: “Fortunately the pedestrian was not seriously injured and both he and the driver of the vehicle are assisting us with our enquiries.
“As part of this we’re eager to hear from anyone who saw the collision, or either the pedestrian or Ford Focus immediately prior to the crash. Anyone who may have been recording with a dash-cam device and who captured the incident should provide this to officers as soon as possible.
“The area was busy with both pedestrians and road users due to the time of day and I would encourage anyone who witnessed the collision, and who hasn’t already spoken to us, to get in touch with us on 101, quoting the reference number 2887 13 January 2020.”
