JOKER leads the pack for nominations in this year’s Academy Awards, with the film receiving 11 nominations including best picture, best director and best actor for Joaquin Phoenix.
In a strong supporting cast, The Irishman, 1917 and Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood have 10 nominations each.
Joker’s 11 nominations equals its tally at the British Academy Film Awards, who announced their nominations last week.

Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody won the most awards last year, picking up four prizes including best actor. Green Book was named best picture, while Britain’s Olivia Colman won best actress for The Favourite.
