CashBack’s Jamie the Unicorn sets off on his travels

Every year, YouthLink Scotland, the national agency for youth work, run a campaign to promote the CashBack for Communities Youth Work Fund and to highlight the amazing work of the funded projects.

This year, the CashBack for Communities Youth Work fund has awarded £778,595.00 to 194 projects – benefiting 14,486 young people in Scotland.

This week, Jamie the Unicorn embarks upon a 2,000 mile roundtrip to visit and promote the work of some of these projects.

Jamie has his own Twitter account, @CashBackJamie, and will be tweeting to tell us about the amazing work that is happening in each location with youth workers and young people.

Jamie set off on his travels from Jedburgh today (Tuesday) and arrives in Edinburgh this weekend. He’s stopping off at the Venchie in Craigmillar on Saturday, visits The Big Project in Broomhouse next Monday and will be calling in at Lothian Autistic Society in Leith on Wednesday 23rd October.

He ends his journey in Shetland on 14 December – so will be back home at Rosebery House in time for Christmas.

Bon voyage, Jamie!
