A 17-year-old boy has been arrested by police following an assault on an 18-year-old man in West Pilton yesterday.
Emergency services were called to Ferry Road Drive at around 3:50. The injured teenager is being treated in hospital. His condition is not known.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We can confirm that a 17-year-old man has been arrested following a serious assault which took place on Ferry Road Drive at around 3.45pm.
“An 18-year-old man has been taken to hospital for treatment and enquiries are continuing.”
