Climate Challenge Fund now open for applications

The Scottish Government’s Climate Challenge Fund (CCF) is open for a new round of applications.

Funding is available of up to £100,000 per organisation, per year for the next two financial years 2020-2022.

The CCF supports community-led organisations in Scotland to tackle climate change by running projects that reduce local carbon emissions.

Previously funded projects have helped communities to reduce their reliance on car travel, cut waste, grow local food and lower energy use in homes and community buildings. A map showing currently funded projects can be viewed here while case studies of completed projects can be viewed here.

Applying

We anticipate another highly competitive funding round with high levels of demand. We recognise that developing a detailed project and full application requires a significant investment of time and effort so this year we are introducing a new streamlined two-stage application process.

Stage One applications are due no later than Friday 20th September 2019 at noon.
