Sign up for September’s Walk Together

Netflix’s Sex Education star Connor Swindells and TV presenter and walking enthusiast Julia Bradbury are encouraging the nation to join Bowel Cancer UK’s Walk Together in Edinburgh on Sunday 1 September to help fund the charity’s vital services and lifesaving research in Scotland.

The five-mile walk through the heart of Edinburgh, will pass the beautiful Royal Botanic Garden, Fettes College and the stunning Water of Leith. It’s a perfect opportunity to bring people together to show their support for those undergoing treatment, remember loved ones and raise funds to help stop people dying from bowel cancer in the country.

Alternatively, people affected by bowel cancer can host their own Walk Together event somewhere special in their local area. Or take part in a sponsored virtual walk where they can complete five miles in their own time, anytime, during the month of September.

Netflix’s Sex Education star, Connor Swindells, whose family has been affected by bowel cancer, says: “Bowel cancer is the second biggest cancer killer in Scotland but with your help we can change that. As a patron of Bowel Cancer UK, save the date and join me in supporting this wonderful event to bring everyone affected by the disease together.”

Bowel cancer is the third most common cancer in Scotland. Around 3,700 people are diagnosed with the disease every year in the country.
