Deadline looms to Save Leith Walk

THE deadline is fast approaching for anyone who wants to object to a proposed demolition and development in a conservation area on Leith Walk.

Objections to Drum Property Group’s revised plans to bulldoze the two-storey sandstone buildings at 106-154 and build hundreds of student flats, a hotel, shops and homes must be lodged by Friday December 21.

The revised plans, which would remove a single floor from the proposed scheme, do not change the nature of the proposed demolition and development.

Campaigners have urged people to make sure their voices are heard again by visiting the council planning portal.
