Voice Your Choice success for employability projects

Organisers were delighted with the Voice Your Choice participatory budgeting event which was held at Edinburgh College Granton Campus yesterday.

There were 145 votes overall, with £10,000 to give out to projects.
The successfully funded projects are:
Rural Skills and Training Scheme (RUTS) – Urban Box mini boxing academy aimed at young people.
Pilton Youth and Childrens ProjectDare to Succeed – a project teaching leadership skills
L.I.F.T with their My Time, My Mind project, aimed at changing young people’s perception of benefits and employment.
AminaI Am, I Can project. A series of three interactive workshops to employer ethnic minority women with skills and confidence.
One Parent Families Scotland – Preparing for the Future Course for single parents in NE Edinburgh.
And SmartWorks received partial funding, winning £1155, just over half of their total requested amount for their networking project SmartNetwork.
