PEPSI MAX® PUTS ITS TASTE ON THE LINE

Pepsi MAX® is calling on Glaswegians to experience the delicious, bold taste of Pepsi MAX. This summer, the brand is putting its reputation for great taste on the line and going head to head with the biggest selling cola in the Pepsi MAX Taste Challenge in the UK.
Originally launched in the 1970s, the famous Pepsi Taste Challenge is back in an audacious and refreshed way. Pepsi MAX is so confident in the taste of its product the brand is bringing cola fans together to take part in a blind taste test to ultimately decide the better tasting cola. At events across the country, participants will sip two glasses of unbranded cola and be asked for their verdict.
Mark Kirkham, Head of Marketing and Innovation, PepsiCo West Europe Beverages, said: “We’re excited to introduce a new version of our famous Pepsi Taste Challenge that made marketing and pop culture history books.
“When it comes to favourite cola brands, most fans think they know where their loyalty lies. The Pepsi MAX Taste Challenge is designed to challenge those preconceptions and surprise and delight those who discover a new favourite cola taste. With just two sips, we are confident we will convert more people to Pepsi MAX!”
As part of the Pepsi MAX Taste Challenge, the brand will be giving Edinburgh the chance to participate, and challenge their own pre-conceptions, by rolling out a nationwide campaign via Tesco stores. The challenge is running until early September, appearing in over 60 towns and cities in the UK, including Register House Tesco on 11th August. Once all results are recorded, Pepsi will be able to finally reveal which cola company comes out on top. Will it be Pepsi MAX ?
Additional elements of the 360-integrated campaign include a TVC launching this week and running for 6 weeks, point of sale, digital content and targeted ads on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube.
