Ben Macpherson welcomes campaigning schoolboy to Holyrood

Joseph goes to Holyrood to collect Socks for the Streets
SNP MSP Ben Macpherson welcomed campaigning schoolboy Joseph Cox to Parliament earlier this week to pass on MSP donations to the youngster’s collection of socks and underwear for homeless people in Edinburgh.

Leith Primary School pupil Joseph has caught the attention of people across Scotland with his ‘Socks for the Street’ project – aimed at helping rough sleepers to stay warm in winter.
SNP MSP for Edinburgh Northern and Leith, Ben Macpherson said:“It was a pleasure to welcome Joseph to Parliament this afternoon and to support his inspiring campaign. Joseph’s big-hearted initiative has caught the attention of people across Scotland – and he demonstrates the best of how charitable young people can be.
“Helping homeless people stay warm is such a worthy cause, and I hope Joseph’s campaigning inspires others to get involved to help those less fortunate – we can all learn from this inspirational youngster.”
