Namibian 27th Independence Celebration
Date: 18th March 2017, Saturday, Time: 2pm – 6pm
Venue: North Edinburgh Arts Centre, 15a Pennywell Court, EH4 4TZ Edinburgh.
This event aims to provide an opportunity for local Namibian community to get together and having fun with their family, friends and Scottish counterparts. The celebration will help to promote Namibian history, culture and heritage to the local Scottish community.
The event include traditional Namibian foods, cultural performances and DJ, featuring by Ramoroma Dances group followed by tribal introduction – Damara, Herero and Kavango etc to represent heritage of Namibia. There will fun activities for the children.
Please note, South West African country, republic of Namibia has rich heritage and culture. Namibians achieved independence in 1990 after a war of almost 25 years. Since then 21st March celebrated as an independence day.
