Galleries showcase for young fashion designers

Edinburgh fashion design studentMorag Seaton is one of three talented young designers showcasing garments from their new collections to celebrate tickets going on sale for this year’s The Glasgow School of Art Fashion Show 2017.

Morag, alongside textile design students Yr Johannsdottir from Iceland and MJ McKasiarz from Glasgow, revealed their stunning designs yesterday at Buchanan Galleries Glasgow, a main sponsor for the event, which takes place on Tuesday 21 and Wednesday 22 March.

The talented Glasgow School of Art designers are among over 40 students who will showcase their collections this year on the catwalk in The Art School, highlighting their creativity, self-expression and skills at the annual event.

Kathy Murdoch, Centre Manager said: “Fashion is at the heart of the Buchanan Galleries offer, so we’re delighted to support the next generation of talented designers as they prepare to launch their careers in the fashion industry.”

The ‘must see’ event runs 7pm and 9pm on Tuesday 21 March and 5.30pm, 7pm and 9pm on Wednesday 22 March. Tickets are priced £10 and £7 (students) and are on sale now through the GSA Shop.
