Rob Shorthouse will be runnning a marathon on Christmas Day for MND Scotland to help Gordon Aikman’s Fightback campaign – and he was joined yesterday by MSPs Ben Macpherson (Edinburgh Northern and Leith), Labour leader Kezia Dugdale (Lothians), Alex Cole-Hamliton (Edinburgh Western) and Scottish Conservatives leader Ruth Davidson (Edinburgh Central) who have added their support for this cause.
The MSPs and Rob were also joined by Gordan Aikman when they ran for a mile together to raise awareness of Rob’s campaign and MND Scotland.
Edinburgh Northern and Leith MSP Ben Macpherson said: “It’s inspiring that Rob is doing such a great thing on Christmas Day, to raise money for tackling motor neurone disease as well as awareness of MND Scotland’s remarkable work and services they offer.
“It was great to join fellow Edinburgh MSPs to support Rob and this important cause. I wish Rob all the best for the run on the day. Working together like this, we can continue to improve care and provide better support for people living with MND.”
