Five males have been arrested and charged in connection with a series of housebreakings and high-value thefts across the Lothians and Scottish Borders region.
Three men (aged 23, 24 and 25) have been arrested and charged and will appear at Jedburgh Sheriff Court on Monday. Two 14-year-old boys have also been arrested and they will be reported through the juvenile reporting system.
Chief Inspector Matt Paden said: “Police Scotland treats housebreakings and high value thefts with the utmost seriousness. “There are several measures you can take to secure your secure your home and vehicle. This includes ensuring all access points to your property are locked and that keys are never left is an accessible place.
