Cramond care home: decision deferred until August

cramond development

Some good news! The Development Management Sub-Committee did NOT discuss the Care home development on Wednesday. Instead, it will go to a full hearing on 17 August.

This is based on the emails and letters the committee members received, and Councillor Norman Work who requested the hearing and Councillors Lindsay Patterson and Alastair Shields who wrote to support this.

In addition, a site visit is being organised for those members who did not see the site the first time, as one member said he “wished to see the complexities of the site”.

The Vice Convenor has confirmed the hearing will “allow the community voice to be heard on this.”

With huge thanks to all of you who contacted committee members and to our three Councillors, to Alex-Cole Hamilton for his ongoing support and to Norman Work for securing the hearing.

This is clearly a step forwards, but with a long way to go. We will be back in touch soon with our next steps
