Calling all spring chickens: roost at Royston Wardieburn!

Lynn and Lydia are developing a seven week pilot programme for adults in Royston Wardieburn Community Centre …

The purpose of the new pilot is to give adults a chance to try different activities which we hope we will be able to provide on a more permanent basis after the summer.  At this stage we are calling the group Spring Chickens although the group may decide to change it at a later date!

The group will run on a Wednesday from 12 noon until 2.30pm in the community centre.  A light lunch will be provided free of charge from 12 – 1pm.  People can then choose from a  range of activities from  1 – 2.30pm.

Transport is available for anyone who requires it but must be booked in advance. To book your place on the bus, contact Donna Wright on 552 5700 or email  Donna.wright@ea.edin.sch.uk

The first session on Wednesday 13 April will be a chance for everyone to meet and find out more about the programme and to add their ideas.  As well as activities in the centre we have organised two trips to places of interest: the first to Kelvingrove Gallery Glasgow and the second to the Kelpies in Falkirk.

We are really keen to reach out to people who are not currently involved and who are looking for an opportunity to meet other spring chicks in a friendly social setting!
