All quiet at Ainslie Park: There’s still time to sponsor silent Spartans!
Our Young People’s Committee have chosen to participate in a sponsored ‘Phone and Social Media Holiday’ to raise money to put towards the cost of hosting community activities for the young people in North Edinburgh such as The Quest and The Saturday Night Chill.
‘The Quest!’ is an area wide orienteering event disguised as a massive Edinburgh wide treasure hunt! Teams of five young people, with one worker and volunteer from different local youth agencies, will be tasked with discovering clues, collecting rare objects, taking photos and answering questions all as quickly as they can by working together as a team.
This will require young people to interact with others, learn about their city, walk/run around town and encourage everyone to participate.
The Saturday Night Chill is an event that will take place every six weeks – it will be an opportunity for young people to have a space to go on a Saturday night to participate in a variety of activities with the opportunity to learn about sexual health, drug and alcohol, Social media etc. This event is funded, organised and ran by young people.
The Young People will have no access to their phone or social media for 3 whole days, Monday 14th March up to and including Wednesday 16th March!
If you would like to sponsor us please text SCFA03 £3 to 70070.
If anyone would like any more information then contact Amy Henderson at amyhenderson@spartanscfa.com or phone The Academy on 552-7854.
Thanks, we appreciate your support!!
