Catch her quick – only eight weeks and then she’s ‘scone’!
We would like to extend our welcome to our latest volunteer, Johanna, whose passion is savory foods and baking (writes James McGinty).
The staff and customers at Muirhouse Millennium Community Centre have already benefited from the aroma of freshly baked scones and cakes – served with butter,double cream, with no additives and strawberry jam at only 60p – wafting through the Centre.
Scones are freshly baked daily – not refrigerated: if this makes our mouth water, come in and try them – it’s worth it!
Assisting Johanne is young Chris who is being trained by Johanne, as she has only on an 8 week placement at the centre.
