Edinburgh-based charity seeks new recruits

An Edinburgh-based charity supporting people in the community living with a range of impairments and health conditions is hosting an open recruitment day in order to meet an increase in demand for its services.

Carr Gomm, a leading provider of social care, helps people to lead their lives safely and independently, enabling them to do the things they want to dothat so many of us take for granted.

The recruitment drop-in day takes place on Wednesday 31 January, at 17-18 London Road, from 10am to 6pm.

Potential team members will have the opportunity to find out what a career in the social care sector involves as well as discovering the range of training, progression and benefit packages available.

Interviews are available on the day for anyone wishing to fast track their application.

Gillian Lewis, operations manager for the east of Scotland, at Carr Gomm, said: “We are looking for motivated and dedicated individuals who are passionate about people and want to make a real difference in the community.

“Due to developments in our services, we are looking to significantly increase our team in Edinburgh so we can continue to provide an efficient and professional service.

“We offer a comprehensive learning and development package, which means that no previous experience or qualifications are required. Benefits include paid travel time, enhanced holidays, maternity and paternity leave and a pension.”

Those wishing to join the team at Carr Gomm will have the opportunity to work across a range of services, supporting people with mental health problems, learning disabilities, complex needs, dementia, autism spectrum disorder and physical disabilities.
