Edinburgh International Science Festival, powered by EDF Energy, visited St David’s R.C. Primary School on Monday to give a hand in launching the school’s Science Week to show how much fun learning about STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) can be. North Edinburgh Arts will be open for reduced hours today to enable the Community Action North event to go ahead in the morning (above) and have the cafe open for a while.
However Gentle Exercise, the Arts Strategy event in the afternoon and North Edinburgh Theatre group in the evening are POSTPONED.
Muirhouse Youth Development Group’s annual general meeting, also scheduled to take place at North Edinburgh Arts this afternoon, has been POSTPONED until further notice.
CAN’s ‘Knowing Me, Knowing My Community’ session at Muirhouse Millennium Centre tomorrow (Wednesday 28 February) has been CANCELLED due to the weather.
The course will resume next week.

Pennywell All Care Centre (formerly North West Partnership Centre) opened to the public on 18th December and will be officially opened later this month. The new Centre will provide a range of health and social care services, including new GP accommodation (Muirhouse Medical Group has opened a new branch surgery to complement their Muirhouse Avenue practice), podiatry and child health services. Three local women staged an exhibition of their artwork at Madelvic House on Saturday. Dee, Johan and are all involved in the Low Income Families Together (LIFT) project based at Muirhouse Millennium Community Centre.
The event proved to be a great success, and the women plan to follow it up with another exhibition in the Millennium Centre later this month.
