The City of Edinburgh Council’s affordable housing development in Muirhouse has been short listed in the ‘Best Social Housing Initiative’ category in the MJ Local Government Awards #MJAwards18
The city council has also received a nomination in the Innovation in Communications category.
The MJ Achievement Award winners will be announced at a gala event at London’s Hilton Hotel on Park Lane on 27 June.
Granton Information Centre (GIC) are to provide free monthly advice sessions at Royston Wardieburn Community Centre. The Scottish Parliament’s Education and Skills Committee is meeting at Muirhouse Millennium Centre at 6 pm on Wednesday 16th May. The committee are very keen to hear directly from parents/carers/guardians, young people, teachers, and other professionals who work with young people in schools and in the community with a focus on attainment or achievement. Youth players from Civil Service Strollers are celebrating after being awarded £1,000 by The Old Kirk and Muirhouse Parish Church. The local church organised a participatory budgeting event last weekend and Civil Youth was among six local projects to share in the £4500 ‘Your Voice, Your Choice’ fund.
