Police seek witnesses to Queensferry Road accident

Police are appealing for information following a serious road collision on Queensferry Road. The incident happened near the junction with Parkgrove Street at around 7:20pm on Saturday evening.

A 48 year old man was struck by a red Mazda 2 which had been travelling westbound. He sustained serious injuries and is now being treated in the Royal Infirmary.

Sgt John Easton of Edinburgh’s Road Policing Unit said: “We’re urging anyone who witnessed the incident, or who saw the either the Mazda or the pedestrian beforehand and may be able to help with our enquiries, to get in touch with us as soon as possible.”

Those with information should contact the Road Policing Unit on 101, quoting incident number 3308 of 3 February.
